Our Story

In 2016, Cheffin, LLC was founded to dismantle the premise that having a personal chef was reserved for the wealthy. Everyone should have access to a personal chef just as you have a mechanic to fix your car, a doctor to heal your body, and a tailor to alter your clothes. Since establishment, we have executed events with our chefs cooking intimate dinners for two to catering large gatherings for hundreds.

Every step of the way our mission has been the same: delivering fresh and flavorful food no matter when, where, or how. We all should have a private chef and food (at its core) should be made easily accessible to EVERYONE. We also know that culinary education is needed to curb unhealthy cooking and poor eating habits. We offer culinary instruction in key communities to redevelop the palate and reinvigorate the body. You should come on this important journey with us!

We had an excellent experience working with Cheffin, LLC team for a charity dinner in November 2021. The Project Manager, Philip Zwaig, is very professional, responsive, and courteous. He is knowledgeable and promptly provided requested information and was very accessible via email, phone call, or thumbtack. The event planning process was very painless and I did not feel pressured or rushed in any way. The menu provided a very good variety of choices for all courses and there was additional flexibility. Chef Dorian is very professional. Our guests were delighted and complimented about the quality of food as well as the service provided by Chef Dorien. The ingredients used were fresh and of good quality.

For my 36th birthday, I hosted an adult slumber party with my friends at an AirBNB (the Claremont in Baltimore). One night we had a personal chef cook for us. I shopped around before deciding to go with Cheffin. I'm glad I decided to go with them! The company was organized, the prices were reasonable and they accommodated my diet (with items that weren't on the menu). On the day of the dinner, Chef Darien was on time, friendly, and thorough. He walked us through what he was doing while he cooked, explained different parts of the meal, and cleaned the WHOLE kitchen when he was done. And most importantly, the food was delicious!!! I highly, highly recommend supporting this business.

Chef Dorien prepared a scrumptious meal for my mom’s 79th birthday! As a first-time customer, I was well pleased with the process from interviewing the company and speaking to the coordinator, Philip, to the day of the culinary experience!
